Surf Club Renovations
The Club renovations are in full swing and you can now see some big changes happening to the Club. All the renovation and extension work is being focused on the north east corner of the building, both to the upstairs and to the Surf Club downstairs, and costing approximately $1.6 Million. The renovation works are expected to be completed at the beginning of November 2016.
The kitchen will be fitted out with all new appliances, gain additional floor area and higher ceilings. The old fibro roof is being replaced with an all new Colorbond roof. A new dumbwaiter is also being installed to transport goods from the new loading dock to the kitchen upstairs. New carpet will be installed throughout the Club as well as new tables and chairs. The Bar has not been forgotten, with new bar furniture and the keg and cold room to double in size! More beer! The extension has also meant we are able to offer a larger kids room, new fire escape and a large store room downstairs. The smokers deck will be relocated to above the new extension and the current smokers deck will be built in to make way for a new gaming lounge with tea and coffee facilities.
The Surf Life Saving Club will also be home to brand new dorm rooms and a state of the art training room.
These extensive renovations will allow us to provide a better environment for our valued customers. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this renovation period and thank all our members and guests for your patience and support.
